Good morning Marnita and Sally  Smiley

It's another beautiful, sunny, cold morning here.  I fed the cat, stoked up the fire, got bundled up and took the dog for a walk, and then fed the chickens.  Now I'm relaxing by the fire with a hot cup of coffee.  Pretty good morning so far  Smiley

As soon as Tommy gets up I'm going to strip his bed to wash all the sheets and blankets so Sarah can stay in his larger room when she comes tomorrow.  Sam will stay in our office/guest room.  Tommy will stay in Billy's room.  Musical rooms today.  I have some cleaning to do in the office, but the other rooms are all set.

Parents are invited to Tommy's writing class this morning so the kids can present parts of their papers.  I always look forward to this.  There are such interesting topics to listen to.  We're going to stop for a celebratory lunch at California Tortilla on the way home.  We'll also stop at the post office and bank.

This afternoon I'm going to give the bathroom a good thorough scrubbing.  I look a lot more critically at our tub when I know my grandbaby will be getting his baths in there!!

I'm going to bake some chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing.  If I have time, I'm also going to bake some homemade english muffins.

My mom is taking us out to dinner tonight to our favorite burger place.  Tommy will go to small group at church afterwards and I'll come home and crochet and watch TV.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Morning ladies !  Have a appointment with a log home restorer at the soon to be log home we are buying today. He is going to bid on replacing two logs and we also want him to lighten and re stain the logs. Of course if anything is a serious problem we can back out of the deal. I have several things to look at in the house while we are there.
Anyone out there follow Crystals cleaning routine on her website ? I spent time last night on her sight and copied the list for Wednesday. I would love to get on a routine where I am cleaning our house a little everyday to keep it all up so it is not so overwhelming.
Supper is slow roast chicken , green beans, potato's.

Better go ! Have a blessed day !

Good morning all you beautiful ladies!!!

Linda, I sure hope your hip gets better and you can avoid any surgery!

Well I woke up this morning, got into facebook and found this message for me from my youngest daughter Olivia:

Olivia

 Dear Mom(Debra )
You are the most amazing person ever! Without you I don't know who I would be. Every time that I'm in a bad mood I just hear your voice in my head telling me to find the funny in the situation and to not let people get me down. I love how I can tell you everything and I love how your always there when I need a shoulder to cry on. But I also love how we can joke around and dance around the kitchen to whatever music is playing. Your the best and I love ya mama=]

Made me cry!!! She is so sweet and I love her so very much!!!!

Today, I haven't decided if I'm going to run to JoAnn's and get the pillowcases I want to make for my granddaughter or stay home and do housework and laundry. Don't know if I want to spend the gas going out, but I have to get them sometime. I thought of ordering them off Herrshners but they don't have them any more so I'm afraid maybe they have been discontinued or something.

Dinner tonight is beef vegetable soup and rolls. Or maybe the bean and rice enchiladas I didn't make yesterday. Hmm, that sounds like the better deal to me! I won't need to get anything out of the freezer for it!

Well I best get this day and the laundry going. Oh, I was making my bed this morning and found a black spider between the blankets on my side of the bed. He was just a running around like crazy! I flicked him off but who knows where he landed! Yikes!!! I was sleeping with that thing!!! Enough to give me the itchies!!! I made sure none of the blankets were touching the floor when I made the bed and I sorted our laundry on the bed instead of the floor like I usually do. Creep me out!!!

Have a great day ladies!!!

Good morning!

Getting ready to take Maddy to violin, then need to come home and have breakfast.  Earl is gone  (after coming home sick yesterday) so I'm not sure if he felt better or went to sick call this morning.  Poor guy, hope he's better since today is his birthday.

The kids are on a roll this morning, have been waking up earlier and earlier and every one of the five was up before me.  I normally am up before all of them by at least 30 minutes.  I hope the upcoming time change will make them sleep later...I am out of patience and feeling frazzled lately, and waking up to fighting kids  doesn't help.

Still in the 70's and very windy again today, but supposed to cool down and rain the next few days, yay!

Today, I know I need to do at least one load of laundry...did a bunch yesterday since I ended up needing to do the boys bedding after Max starting throwing up during naptime.  I just started The Last Pilgrims last night so may read some in that.  Honestly, I feel like doing nothing.  Tongue

Better run, Maddy is loading up the boys to leave.

Ann, I'm sorry to hear of the upcoming deployment for Sarah and her husband.  Do they know how long yet?  Around here, most are only 9 months now, a small blessing at least.  We're still waiting to hear on all our stuff...hate this limbo stuff.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Good Morning Everyone!

It was a very busy weekend around here and I am finally caught up from all the driving. My daughter had a blast at the taping Sunday and got to meet 2 of the Celtic Thunder guys. They also went to a pub aftewards where they were playing that night and met some irish people. She is studying Music Education to be a missionary to Ireland. So this was a biggie for her. One young fellow gave her some wonderful insight!

Today I am waiting to hear back from the OB on some more blood work (3rd set they have taken) BF has to go to the Dr today. Something is wrong with his knee and below. Im thinking an infection below the replacement. No matter what he is in  pain and needs to be seen. Then we have to go clean the parking lot of his dads business. Sometime in there I have to get the sheets washed today.

Dinner tonight will be ribs, fries and cole slaw.

Have a great day!

Morning Ladies!

After yesterday's 'run around' day, I'm thrilled to be home all day, and with nice weather as well!  I was able to get a lot accomplished yesterday, though, including the post office to drop a knitting order in the mail, the gas station to fill up, Walmart, Aldi, and a needlework shop for a gift certificate (all about 45 minutes away).  I came home, unloaded a month's worth of groceries, organized two cabinets, and did some NSA work.  Not too shabby!

Our washing machine is still not behaving, so I've been handwashing everything in a (clean!) bathtub, and I am SO SORE!  Does that count as laundry and a workout, then Wink?  I feel very 'Ma Ingalls', and I admit it's kind of nice swishing around in the warm, soapy water.  I'm just glad it's not in a creek with rocks and no soap!

Today I would like to:

-Make dog food
-Cook black eyed peas
-Mop the kitchen floor
-Swish bathroom
-Knit

Dinner tonight is beef stroganoff in the Crock*Pot.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good morning!

It is chilly right now but should be in the 60s later!  Yeah!!!

Doug is off until Monday!  He is FINALLY going to put up the railings and posts on the back deck.  Corey is going to help him and we are going to pay him $100 for the work.  Every little bit he can earn towards school next year helps.  If they finish the deck, they will start clearing out the garden area so it is ready for planting.  We haven't had a garden for a few years so it is a mess out there.

I have laundry to do today and need to make a call to Madelyn's guidance counselor and make sure her classes for next year are correct,  I also have to take Corey to the chiropractor in a little bit.  And, of course, there is musical rehearsal this afternoon and evening.  I have a headache today so I may try to get in a nap.  If I have a chance, I need to gather up some things for Goodwill.

Dinner tonight is sloppy joes, potatoes and carrots.

Have a wonderful day!

Good Morning

Just came in and had a bite to eat. Helped dh with extra chores. Moved cows, fed cows in 3 different groups, chopped water, put down 14 bales. etc. Now I am fixin to head out and feed one more bunch and check on chickens one more time. Cold out there with the windchill 15. I need to get my baby chicks ordered and poly boards that I didnt do yesterday. The kids and I worked on science fair projects last night. DS is making a solar panel and we got the frame ready but didnt have the right plywood for it. Then dd was spray painting board for her marble run but the spray paint clogged or something. Other ds is making hand warmers with battery and tinfoil. That should keep us busy in spare time. Trying to prepare for regional meet this weekend also. Exciting, fun but VERY busy times. The calves are so cute out there. I will try to take camera along. Gonna go switch laundry around, good thing I got alot done yesterday.

Have a great day

Janice

Good morning ladies,

Wow! That is all I can say about this wind. We are on the second day now of a wind advisory. It is blowing so hard that I put off going to get gas in the car. Hoping it will die down by tomorrow. Supposed to be rain coming in, so maybe that will calm the wind a bit.

I am feeling better. I guess I just need to eat grain free.

I haven't got much accomplished this week. Been kind of lazing around. I did do some sewing yesterday on a Trip Around the World quilt that I started last fall. I may work on it a bit more today. I also need to get another quilt basted so I have something to work on in the evenings. I hate these hours of Kevin's but I am grateful that he has a job, so won't complain too much.

Well, it is getting dark here, so I am thinking rain is moving in. Everyone have a good day. Thinking of you all.

Blessings,

Catherine,
The deployment should be 7 months.  Maybe a bit longer depending on if he gets sent on the advance team or with the main group.  The uncertainty kills me so I can only imagine how hard it must be when you are actually living it.  I hope whatever news you are waiting for is good news!!

Well, it stinks he has to go at all, but I'm happy for them that it's a shorter deployment.  Sarah is blessed to have a mom like you who will help her while he is gone.
