Annette what can you use the tree tea oil on? I've heard of it and not sure how it's used though. I'd love to learn more about using certain items for illness that we can keep on hand that won't go bad.
Just finished reading the book Linda suggested and now I really want to stock up on certain items that would stay on hand at all times especially foods that will keep for long periods.

We use it sparingly but for all kinds of things. In the laundry when there's junk going around, as an antibiotic type of thing on cuts, cold sores, etc.

Here's an article about it http://altmedicine.about.com/od/herbsupplementguide/a/TeaTreeOil.htm  The thing about it though as with all oils is that there is alot of marketing out there and many products are NOT essential oils. They are other oils with trace amounts of the healing herb in them... those are not what you'd want. You'd want the essential oil which simply oil infused with the herb and no other ingredients.

Forgot to mention that we only EVER use it topically and not internally.

I have just been thinking about this as I make out my September grocery lists and such and since I have some extra in my food budget that I have not had I am going to really be stocking up on things for the winter.. I like to be stocked up anyway, but have not been able to dues to some circumstances beyond my control.. I am going to get a couple of rubbermaid totes to put things in to hold and put them in the closet under the stairs..

Not only will I be stocking up on the food and baking supplies, but on cat food, litter, toliet paper, paper towels and hygenie stuff.. I am excited to have a little extra for once.. God is so good..
