I thought, since many of us had as a good intention to finish earlier for christmas we could keep a list here where we could see on a glance who we still had to buy for and what we had planned to buy.  OR... that we already HAVE four gifts for that one person in our stash, somehow if we add on it through the year.

I have already started thinking of presents for 2010 as well.  LOL  Wondered if I was the only one.

I am planning on finishing the quilt I started for my MIL and give it to her for Christmas this year.
I also need to start and finish a cross stitched stocking for my hubs.  My aunt made Noah and I one, but I want hubs to have one as well.
I have several things in mind for the girls on hubs side of the family as well like aprons to make.

I have started!!! Cheesy

Here is our list:

Colby
Brady
Kara

my mom and dad
my older brother
My sil and nephew and 2 neices
My younger brother, his wife and their 2 kids
my maternal grandparents
my paternal grandparents
Mike's grandma

friends who play grandparents to the kids
friends oldest son and his Significant Other who play uncle and aunt to the kids plus the SO's son
Friends youngest son and his wife who play uncle and aunt to the kids plus thier daughter and they are also due to have a son in July

The family I babysit for, and they are due to have a son in March.

I also get something small for Colby's teacher.

**********************************************************************************************************************

So far I have dug through the craft supplies and found enough "stuff" to at least get started on gifts

I sewed stockings for all of us last year, now I need to make one for Kara, luckily I think I have enough material to make her one identical to the ones I made for us last year.

I am thinking of making quilted table runners for the  woman of "friends who play so and so to the kids" I have enough materials to start 2 but will need to get supplies to make a third one.

I found names in filet crochet that I have made a while back probably 2 yrs or better ago, and I also started one for the family I babysit for. I have enough already crocheted for my parents and my brothers and one set of grandparents, they just need starched and framed.
Here is an example, but the pattern I have is alot different.  http://elizabethsvictoriangarden.com/files/Filet_Crochet_Surname_Framed.jpg

I have ideas for the neices and nephews but nothing concrete yet.

I hope I can stay on top of this, Mike and I don't normally buy for each other, there just isn't any extra funds but I hope that if I can stay on top of gift making this year that will change.

LOL - I just finished writing my list in the back of my calendar so that I have it with me at all times. It seems that not only did I cut it close on finishing projects but there were always one or two people that I forgot and had to scramble for at the last minute.  At least in my calendar, I can add them as I think about them.

We normally don't buy for anyone except immediate family so our gift giving is very small compared to some.  What we are seeing happen is that the kids are getting older and so their presents are getting more expensive.  We try to buy them keepsake items which requires us to do some advance planning and thinking.

Our list for 2010 is

Aaron
Caylon
Lainey
2 nieces aged 6 and 10
possibly another niece if adoption goes through
My parents

That's it!!

I just had to add three more names.  In Belgium when you become Godfather or Godmother, you become part of the immediate family somehow.  You're invited to all the family gatherings, etc.  So these people also get a gift, even if it is a small one.

I found him a couple games he has been looking for so he got them for christmas 2009....

 My List:

The only ones out of the cousins I will be buying a gift for will be Gavin and Delanie  and I've already picked up their gifts..they are getting very cute stuffed reindeer and also  Baby Glo Bugs*
