I started out learning to knit...I tried to learn how to crochet but for the life of me, I just couldn't get it! While knitting makes perfect sense to me, crocheting was just baffling. I didn't understand where to put the hook in, how to start a new row, how many chains to turn, etc. Just a few months ago, I was annoyed that I couldn't crochet and so I printed off instructions, sat down with my hook and some yarn and was determined to learn! I'm still not very good at it and it is still confusing to me, but at least I can now read a very simple pattern and create something! In my experience it seems that people either really love knitting or really love crocheting. Maybe love is the wrong word, maybe understand would be a better word there. Now if I could just stick with one project and see it through to completion! :

I think I have knitters ADD!
